Originally built in 1922 as a residence, the 1,780 SF freestanding retail building underwent a transformative journey in 2002, serving as a restaurant under the ownership of Felix and Annie Roux, proprietors of Provence. The property changed hands ten years later to Chef Baptist Knaven who reinvented the restaurant into MOSAIC Tapas Bistro & Wine Bar. He closed MOSAIC in January 2023, and has since redirected his focus towards a dog training facility in Pittsboro. Meanwhile the fully equipped boutique restaurant, with a rich history, has now found new life in the hands of Meital and Yaniv Cohen.
